PLEASE HELP US IN THE FIGHT FOR A CURE FOR
 JEFF LAPINSKI
Home Page
As most of you know by now, our dear friend Jeff Lapinski has been diagnosed with a rare rare form of liver cancer called Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma, or FHC. There are only 200 people IN THE WORLD diagnosed with FHC every year.
On October 10, 2008 Dr. Arnold of Baylor Medical Center removed cancerous mass from the top of the left lobe of Jeff's liver. Although the mass was removed, the cancer has been detected in two of the surrounding lymph nodes. The lymph nodes were not removed.
Because of the rareness of the disease, we have been researching where the best treatment for Jeff will be. Currently Jeff is scheduled to see two different specialists in this field; Dr. Ahmed Kaseb of MD Anderson in Houston, and Dr. Richard Finn of UCLA Cancer Center. Jeff is scheduled to see both doctors by the end of next week. After his visits, he will then determine the best location and approach to attack his rare disease.
All of your thoughts and prayers are appreciated. We will continue to keep you posted after each visit.
